Who We Are and the Foundations of Why We Care

Resource Employee Care Founder, Daniel Mercado, migrated to the United States in his teens from his home country of Chile. He is fully bilingual and has an understanding of many different cultures. He has been married for 27 years and is the father of three. He has degrees in Social Work and is certified in Family and Marriage Counseling. He has training in suicide prevention, crisis response, and law enforcement support, among other relevant societal issues. He has extensive experience in the realm of business, law enforcement, and community nonprofit sectors.

In 2007, Daniel and his family relocated from North Carolina to Phoenix, and in 2013, he became the President and founding owner of Resource Employee Care. He and his team of professionals have more than 100 years of combined experience serving families, marriages, and communities while serving team members within the construction industry. Resource Employee Care is offering a higher level of Employee Assistance Program by providing direct care to the employees and the companies they serve by meeting these employees face-to-face on a regular basis before a crisis occurs. The REC team is available to meet with employees in the workplace, on jobsites, in hospitals, and through scheduled meetings. The result of this care has prevented the collapse of families, loss of jobs and wages, and ultimately suicides for employees that needed a shoulder to lean on and the support of a mentor during a time of crisis.

Daniel has close to 3 decades of experience working with people to overcome significant life challenges. For over 15 years, he has strengthened the local construction industry by offering specialized care to the individuals that build this city and it’s structures. His efficiency serving and leading in business workplaces, crisis response, and the nonprofit sector has made him a powerful asset in assisting employees and the businesses where they work.

Through our top-notch client companies, Resource Employee Care provides guidance and support for employees working in those companies. In providing superior, all-in services, we not only strengthen employees, but their families and homes, and our client workplaces. Resource Employee Care is also honored to give back to the community by offering specialized services to First Responders upon request.
